1930's Hollywood

Ever since my mom started following my blog, she has shared with me a lot of vintage goodies she brought from her home country of Guatemala. She lived with her aunts for much of her adolescence and inherited some pieces of their estate. One of the items being a year's collection of Cine-Mundial from 1935. I've had a lot of fun looking through the magazine, appreciating advertisements of the time as well as their wonderfully illustrated covers.

Here is a peek at some of the goodies:

Irene Dunne February Cover

Amelia Earhart with Cary Grant and Myrna Loy before her flight from Honolulu

Joe Louis on his way to becoming a champion

11am- In line to watch the movie "Power" at Radio City Music Hall

What the stars are wearing....

How darling... Shirley Temple

Cary Grant and Joan Crawford on set

Katharine Hepburn

A couple of wonderful ads:

So healthy for you...

Maybe it's Maybelline

Marlene Dietrich- April Cover
